Subject: Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Pres. Monson
HI everyone!
This week I have spent a lot of time doing missionary work. And thus I don't have any good stories. :) Just kidding. Janet came to church again this but will not be coming back for a week or two because she has family visiting. And I think just about every other investigator we have has also told us they are out of town for a while. So I guess we are back to the finding stages for a little while.
Since I came to Lincoln, I have already tracted every street near our apartment. Most of our area is about four miles away and we have to bike through someone else's area to get to it. Elder Boody has bad knees so we can't do much riding, but I know there is a lot of work out there and I really want to spend a week or two in the far side of our area. The part that is hard to get to is called Sun City. It is a small sub-division with about 6000 homes. In order to live there you have to meet a couple requirments including being 55 or older. It is a golf cart community, so tommorow during interviews I am going to ask President if we can use a members golf cart while we are in Sun City. The members are all for it, and it would save a lot of time. It takes us over an hour to ride o some of our appointments.
Last Wednesday, we found ourselves without a dinner appointment, so we gave Billy a call and asked if we could take him out to eat. He refused to let us pay for him to eat, so instead we made dinner for him and ate with him at the church. A couple nights later, we were agin without a dinner appointment so we ate by ourselves in our apartment. That night I was pretty hungry so I made sure to fill myself up before we headed out for the evening. When we got to our seven o'clock appointment however, they were just sitting down to eat and they had set out extra plates for us. I have never been so full in my life.
Other than that, we have had a pretty slow week, especially with zone conference taking up so much time.
I love you all.
