Ryan's Letter:

Dear to my Family!
Well I guess it is a good thing that I am not in Idaho now that everyone is passing around the swine flu. (Note from Kevin: we've had three cases in the area, not quite everyone) But we all have to get flu shots this week at zone conference any way. I was pretty sick a few weeks ago so I'm not too worried, plus the prophet said these shots would help.
Our last week was full of meetings and reports so we don't have a lot to report to you. Frank and Jane Parker are doing great! We took them on a chapel tour a couple of weeks ago and although Frank has been investigating on and off for about three years, that was the first time Jane had participated in any way. We went over the entire plan of salvation and they both really liked it and had a lot of qeustions. We even got to talk about Baptism and priesthood. The biggest problem is that their only source of income comes from Jane working at their church. But the spirit works wonders and they have a lot of potential.
We are also working with Valorie Rosen who is an inactive member and her two boys who were never baptized. Ryan who is eleven and Nick who is nine both really like soccer so we get along great. They all came to church for the first time yesterday and I got to be with the two boys the whole time because Elder Spear was in Rocklin with the singles ward. The ward was amazing at making sure they felt welcome, but that she also felt comfortable. We had our primary program and the theme was eternal families which was hard for Valorie because she had left the church while going through a divorce. But the bishop gave a great talk and said everything she neeeded to hear. Especially about how everything that is unfair or hard in this life, will be made right through the atonement. I really think she enjoyed the spirit of the meeting.
So the attached picture is of Elder Gonzales and Myself. We found a better way to be more unified as missionaires. Do you like it?!
Well remember I love you and don't forget to get ready for conference. It's going to be exciting, so make sure you brush your teeth this week!
Love YA!
Elder Allred
