Ryan's Letter:
Subject: Some call it madness, we call it family.
Hello to all.
We had a great talk in sacrament meeting last week about making our homes more like temples. The speaker compared it to a musicians home. If he wants to be a good musician, he must create an environment where it is easy to focus on music. In the same way we need to create an environment where it is easy to live righteously.
Hmm, what could I tell my family and friends this week that would be interesting. Well my new companion is a great missionary from Utah. Elder Miller and I get along great and we have a great ward to work with. My new area is only about a quarter of the size of my last ward geographically, so I don't get a lot of miles in on my bike.
My address is 5 Marcia Way if you want to look it up, but they want all of our letters and packages to come through the Mission office. I'm in Roseville California by the way. :) Well other that that I don't have a lot to say this week. Our main investigating family is the Skordas family. Rob is coming from an atheist back round and that is the only thing that is holding them up. They are more active than a lot of members including in scouting and young women. Paula and the two kids (Daphne who is 12 and a lot like Sheresa, and Korbin who is 9) have said that they are ready for Baptism, they are just waiting on the dad. They love missionaries and they do everything for us. Yesterday they took us and our entire district to "In and Out Burger" for lunch. So feel free to pray for them and for us so we can know what to teach.
It is still hot and I'm still loving it. Thanks for everything.
Love- Elder Ryan Allred
Oh, I almost forgot, I got to go back to Lincoln for Justin's Baptism on Saturday. I think I attached the right picture.
