Subject: Transfers! ooh, and even better, Conference!!!!
Hey, I finally got to stay with my companion for more than one transfer! I love serving with Elder Boody. This is going to be a great 6 weeks.
Wow, we just really tore it up here in Lincoln this past week. We taught twenty three lessons and picked up four new investigators. This week we have scheduled to start teaching two more that have already told members that they want to be baptized. The church is really rolling forward like a stone cut out of a mountain.
We rode clear out to the furthest part of our area early Saturday morning to meet with a potential investigator. When we got there, he of course forgot we were coming so he was out in his yard pulling weeds. Before he had a chance to refuse, we were off our bikes and on the sidewalk pulling weeds with him. Well it turns out that he went through the Hawaii temple many years ago and we had a great conversation. He didn't know it, but we were teaching him the first lesson as we worked. Our member who lives accross the street even came out and talked with us and introduced herself to him. After about 30 minutes of working, his wife came out the front door. We thought maybe she was going to offer us some water, since it's was about 70 degrees outside. However, she didn't waste any time in letting us know she did not want us on her property. She threw us out before we could even say good bye. It was soo sad because I think he would have been Receptive.
Well, Predident said no as far as the golf carts go, but he would try to get us a car to use part time. Actually, he went with us to our appointments on Saturday evening. He called three zones in the mission, and out of those three, we were the only ones with a lesson that night. Ha, and our lesson canceled once he showed up. But we took advantage of having his truck and we traveled all over the area to visit people. We have a pretty amazing President.
I love you all, Thanks for the prayers. Hopefully, the attached pictures should be with Sam Head in the MTC and Me in Sun City. I'll be here for at least six months. YiPeee!
